Remix and Review 10/20: KK and Friends

Animal Crossing is one of the most perfect anti-games out there.  It updates in real time even after you power down your system.  It has no real immediate goals.  You aren’t forced to do anything (In fact, it is one of the best selling, do-nothing games).  Yet, a lot of love was put into the presentation of Animal Crossing’s world.  The characters are lively and organically interact with each other, the visuals are simple but crisp and clean, and the music, by none other than Kazumi Totaka, is some of the most amazing in a video game, let alone a Nintendo title.  KK and Friends, by Benjamin Briggs & ectogemia, sets out to make beautiful remixes of some of the series mainstay pieces, and manages to keep the soul.  Press Start and come along withme on this musical journey!

KK and Friends can be found on:
