Dumb All over the map (First Thursday show)

This was the show ursurped by a combined double whammy of power outtage and superbowl.  I recovered the playlist in time for my first show on thursday 2/18/10.  The theme was songs by artists who appeared in movies (ie, got an acting credit according to IMDB). Along with the usual title and artist, I’m including a quick blurb about what movie they appeared in.  Again, due to the delay, the list is not in the order played.

More Human than Human (Meet Bambi in the King’s harem Mix) – White Zombie ==>Band in bar scene of “Airheads”

Spiel mit Mir – Rammstein ==> in “XXX”

The Real Slim Shady – Eminem ==> “8 Mile”

Rag Doll – Aerosmith ==> “Wayne’s World 2”

Knee Deep (Deep as a Mutha Funker remix) – George Clinton ==> “Goodburger”, “PCU”

How Blue Can You Get? – Various ==> “Blues Brothers 2000”

When the Saints Go Marching In – Louis Armstrong ==> “Hello Dolly”

Opera Carmen – Andy Griffith ==> “A Face in the Crowd”

If I Could Turn Back Time – Cher ==> Several, including “Mermaids” and “The Witches of Eastwick”

Can’t Fight the Moonlight – LeAnn Rimes ==> “Coyote Ugly”

Weird Science – Oingo Boingo ==> “Back to School”, note:  lead singer is Danny Elfman, yes, that Danny Elfman
